The King of Prussia Rail Project (KOP Rail) Community Working Group (CWG) was formed by SEPTA to provide residents of Upper Merion Township a forum to learn about, ask questions, and offer feedback in a small group setting. The CWG consists of representatives from a variety of neighborhoods across Upper Merion Township.

Goals for the committee include:

  • Meeting on a regular basis
  • Discussing a variety of technical topics relating to the project
  • Developing constructive dialogue among local officials, SEPTA representatives, the project team, and a variety of community members with different perspectives

Members of the committee were invited based on public meeting attendance, emails received at the project email address, and comment cards received. The CWG was designed to include a mix of residents interested in learning about project details and eager to provide feedback and participate in small group discussions.

The interests and concerns of the Valley Forge Homes and Brandywine Village communities are well represented on the committee because of the impact KOP Rail could have on their neighborhoods. Members of the Upper Merion Township Planning Commission, Economic and Community Development Committee, and Transportation Authority were also invited to participate. All members of the CWG are residents of Upper Merion Township.
