KOP Rail Increases Access to Greater Philadelphia Area Employers

KOP Rail will connect the Greater Philadelphia’s three largest employment centers — Center City (292,000 jobs), University City (75,000 jobs), and King of Prussia (60,000 jobs).

KOP Rail will connect commuters to jobs at the King of Prussia Mall, the second largest mall in the United States, and Moore Park KOP, a mixed-use community comprised of commercial, residential, retail, dining, and industrial spaces.

KOP Rail will provide greater reverse commute opportunities for those who live in the city and want to work at businesses in large employment centers in the suburbs.

KOP Rail will provide Greater Philadelphia Area residents access to jobs without having to relocate to find employment and allow them to invest their earnings back into the communities in which they live.

KOP Rail will provide a high-speed, “one-seat” ride to/from any station along the Norristown High Speed Line (NHSL), including the 69th Street Transportation Center in Upper Darby and the Norristown Transportation Center in Norristown.

KOP Rail Reduces Commute Times

KOP Rail will reduce travel time between Center City and KOP from 75 minutes to 45 minutes, significantly less than a typical trip on heavily congested I-76.

KOP Rail will run as frequently as every 10 minutes during peak times.

KOP Rail will have a 95 percent on-time performance average, bringing more frequent, reliable transportation to/from jobs.
