During and immediately following the March 2016 public meetings, SEPTA heard from several residents in the Valley Forge Homes and Brandywine Village communities that the recommended Locally Preferred Alternative (LPA) would lead to unwanted visual, noise, and construction-related impacts. In response to these concerns, SEPTA and the King of Prussia Rail Project (KOP Rail) team have been meeting regularly with neighborhood residents along the recommended LPA in order to explore efforts that would minimize impacts to local properties.

As a result of these efforts, SEPTA explored different design options within the recommended LPA. This resulted in the selection of the PECO/Turnpike First Avenue alternative with the North/South design option that shifted the alignment away from residential areas as the recommended LPA.
